Get ready, Moose Questers! Your rewards are almost in your hands! Yep, all the stars aligned properly and all of our partners worked hard to deliver faster than expected. Thanks to all of you also, for jumping through the BackerKit hoops a bit more quickly than anticipated.
Moose Quest T-Shirt backers, your shirts are being fulfilled now and should arrive next week.
All other rewards will be packed and shipped next week - shipping date is planned for Tuesday, July 22nd. Expect your Moose Quest goodies to arrive by the end of the month, as the shipping partner estimates 3-5 business days for transit.
Local Pickup Information
If you haven't done so already, backers who chose the "Local Pickup" option must reach out to Dave at [email protected] immediately to arrange pickup! This is important to ensure your rewards are on hand at the desired pickup since we will not carry all rewards at every location.
General Pickup Options:

Most Fridays at Culver's in Lake Geneva (11 AM - 2 PM; not on the below convention weekends obviously): Arrive at the beginning if you wish to play a game with Tom and the gang.

EGG Con II (July 24-27 in Lake Geneva, WI): Tom and Dave will be joining in on Gary's Birthday Celebration running games as Special Guests all four days.

Phoenix Con 4 (August 14-17 in Appleton, WI): Meet Tom and Dave...get into a game if you can. They'll be there as guests and running games all four days.

Gamehole Con 12 (October 16-19 in Madison, WI): Tom and Dave will be there to visit friends and play an impromptu game or two, but noting planned.
It's crucial to make arrangements ahead of time for any of these pickup options! Contacting Dave at [email protected] ahead of time ensures a smooth Moose Quest adventure.

Moose Quest is Arriving Sooner

Hey Moose Quest Backer,
I know we just recently sent you an update saying we were on track for September delivery and locking down Surveys on June 27. But we got a very exciting surprise from our production team that means we’re reaching out to you sooner than expected…
All the stars have aligned for an earlier delivery! Our shipment got on a ship quickly, there were no delays at sea, and it arrived smoothly in the US. As long as Customs and over-the-road trucking stick to their usual timelines, we now expect to have the games in Wisconsin mid-July — nearly a month and a half earlier than anticipated! WOW!
This is great news, but it also means we have to move quickly. Here’s what you need to know:
1) Rewards Will Be Shipping Sooner
We’re hope to have the new games available for sale at EGG Con II (July 24–27). We feel it's only right to make sure your reward is shipped first so that creates a timeline that is very tight.
2) New Local Pick-Up Opportunities!
If you’d like to save on shipping, you can now pick up your reward in person at any of the following locations:

To switch to a LOCAL PICK-UP all you have to do is EDIT your address and change the value in your COUNTRY field (for example, currently "United States") to "Local Pick-up". It will be an option at the top of the drop down list. If you’d like to arrange a local pick-up or need assistance with making this change, email [email protected] with your request.
(Note: Unfortunately, we will NOT be attending GEN CON this year.)
3) Tight BackerKit Windows
Here are the key dates you need to know:

June 27: Final lock down of BackerKit Surveys and Purchases. This is your last chance to complete the survey, add or remove items for purchase.

July 2: Final lock down of BackerKit Address Changes. This is your last chance to change your shipping address (if you've moved recently, please verify the address is correct) or your shipping method (i.e. switch to Local Pick-Up if desired).

July 3: Charging Cards. We’ll charge credit cards for any remaining balances starting on this day. (Note: prior to charging cards, we will be removing the TARIFF Tip that some of you included (thanks for the offer) AND a $20 Discount for those of you who purchased 3 T-Shirts.
Please watch your credit card and email closely to ensure charges go through smoothly — this will allow us to ship your rewards quickly.
Achieving all of this will be challenge due to the many steps involved with organizing the fulfillment process, and it still depends on transportation and customs continuing to run smoothly, but we’re hopeful that you’ll have your Moose Quest rewards in hand very soon!

Moose Quest Shipping Update + Survey Deadline!

Hello Moose Quest Backers,
We just can’t say it enough — thank you! We truly appreciate your support and enthusiasm for Moose Quest.
We’re excited to share that the game has officially completed production and is now being loaded onto a ship bound for the U.S.! While the ports are currently busy due to a temporary reprieve on tariffs, we are still on track to fulfill backer rewards in September, as planned.
A Note About Tariffs:
If all goes well and we receive the shipment during this lower-tariff window, we will remove the added donation/tip that some of you generously contributed to help offset the unexpected higher costs. We deeply appreciate everyone who stepped up to support us in this way — thank you!
Important: BackerKit Surveys Lock Down on June 27
Most of you have already completed your surveys — thank you! For you, no action is needed unless you'd like to make any last-minute changes to your add-ons. You’ll be able to adjust things like coins, t-shirts, or extra games until the lock date.
However, there are several people that haven’t completed their survey. If that is you, please do so as soon as possible by going to your survey via the link below. We can’t fulfill your reward without it, as the survey provides us with your shipping address as well as provides an opportunity for you to pay for shipping. We’ve sent several reminders, so please check your spam folder or any alternate email accounts you may have used for backing. In any case, you can get to your survey by following this link.

Where are things at with Moose Quest?

Hey everyone,
This is Dave from Tom Wham Games and I wanted to send this quick update on where things are at with the Moose Quest Kickstarter Project. Let me first reiterate Kim's thanks to everyone for supporting this, our first, Kickstarter. We almost doubled our goal...WOW! Thank you so much.
So, where are things at? The game is at our printer and in production. I expect to hear from our contact within the next couple weeks for an update and get better shipping timelines at that time. However, we're right on schedule for getting the games in our hands and shipping them to sometime in September. The Challenge Coin only takes a short time to produce so we'll wait until after most people have completed the survey so we have a more accurate numbers before ordering.
How about the Tariffs: Yes, our printer is in China (see note below). And, yes, the tariffs ARE real and hard-hitting. But, they are not beyond our ability to handle...yet. To be completely transparent, each game is costing 84 cents more to deliver due to the tariffs (as of today). That said, because this is our first Kickstarter and we haven't established a business relationship with all of you yet, we are choosing to eat that cost...unless you choose to pitch in. When you get the survey, you will find an item included in the “Tip Jar” for $0.84 that you can choose if you wish to help defray the extra expense for each of the games you've backed. This is completely optional.
(NOTE: I have searched for a board game manufacturer in the US that can print in our quantities (500 for this project) for even close to the price I'm getting overseas...even with these horrible tariffs. I can't find one...all are roughly double the cost if they can even do the work. If you have any suggestions, please pass them to me directly at [email protected].)
Pledge Manager Survey: As was stated in Kickstarter, this will be handled via BackerKit. The survey is nearly complete, with testing each of the Reward Tiers and shipping levels the only things remaining. You should see another update from me in the next few days with a link. If you're new to this, there are several purposes for the survey:
- A request for your feedback – we have 6 questions, mostly related to how we've done with communication (we're new to this and really want to know) and 1 question related to what types of Tom Wham games you'd like us to focus on in future Kickstarters.
- You can upgrade or add to you're pledge – we have one game, six games, and the coin as add-ons, like in the KS. Some folks suggested the possibility of t-shirts, so I've added some with six different pieces of Tom Wham art (4 Moose Quest, a Gygax Caricature, and a Gygaxasuarus piece) all in multiple colors and sizes as additional items to add (with discounts for multiple shirts).
- The survey offers a way to supply us with your shipping address.
- It also offers a way for you to pay for any additional items you add in the Pledge Manager as well as paying for your shipping expenses for those items and your original reward(s). The Pledge Manager will remain unlocked (allowing you to make changes) until we get closer to the time for shipping just in case your shipping address changes between now and then. Your card won't be charged until after we lock the Pledge Manager.
